Remote control truck maintenance after mudding
Posted on July 31st, 2010 by admin
Lots of people like to run their remote control trucks in water and mud. It is a blast, but you have to be prepared to do some cleanup afterward. Remember, too, that many rc trucks are sold with electronics that are not waterproofed. If the product specs didn’t say anything about a waterproof ESC, you probably don’t have one! Some hobbyists try to cover theirs with a plastic baggie before heading out in the mud. If the electronics are waterproofed, the bearings may still need attention. Some people hose theirs down and take precautions to not get water into the engine or bearings. Many people rely on compressed air to help clean their trucks.
