Do the Han Chinese think that they are superior to the Tibetan people?

Unfortunately, yes.
SOME Han Chinese do look down on Tibetans and other Chinese minorities.
(note, I said SOME, not all)
"I think that Tibetans are wild and violent, it’s dangerous to go there" – almost word for word quote from one of my Chinese students recently!
Just like any other country there are people who are racists and who look down on other people.
It comes down to generations of wars and stories from the past, which sadly, people still believe.
I have also met a lot of Chinese who would love to go, or have been and loved Tibet.

no they are all the same under the Constitution , but the Ethnic groups have more rights to protect their culture, history and language

Of course they do. The Han Chinese think they’re better than everyone and they look as anyone who isn’t Han as uncivilized barbarians.
