The Science of Vertical Leap Training

Posted on August 16th, 2010 by admin

Vertical leap training is not just some fancy name given to sports training programs for professional athletes. Its a serious, challenging, and painstaking process that tests and improves an athletes mental and physical state. It includes plyometrics which focus on velocity and quickness, weight training to strengthen abdominal and back muscles, and stretching and leg strengthening to keep you feet firmly planted on the ground before making a jump. Though this form of training program can be one of the most trying of sports programs, it produces equally remarkable results. It allows the basketball player to dunk the ball, the volleyball player to spike it, and the tennis player to smash. And, undoubtedly, it is these moments that make sports an unforgettable occasion.
