There are plenty of places online where you should purchase site names. If you’d like to find more just visit some online marketing forums and ask for opinions, or do a search. Site names are inexpensive often around $10 a year at the most. Many sites offer sales or multiple domain reductions. I know at DomainCheapsters if you purchase 6 or more at a time they are around $6 to $7 dependent on the extension you get. Personally, I’ll use a .com, .net or .org. I’ve found that any of them work very well for my wishes and .net are quite inexpensive. You will need to find what works best for you, but you need to recollect something : many people will say that patrons will forget a long URL or a different extension, which is right but how does one target the majority of your customers?
If you are not handing out business cards and expecting them to type in the website name than it’s not such a massive issue.
Take the time to establish your Internet presence, do not get bamboozled into assuming that going the ‘free’ route with a blog is the best way to go. If you do not buy site names and rely only on the free services you don’t really own your fair share of Internet real estate and you do not present a professional image.
