The Dalai Lama is the most enlightened human being on the planet, in modern-day terms. The Pope + any other such supposed ‘holy men’ are shams & shysters & pail into insignificance by comparison. All humans should take His Holiness’ wisdom on-board .. irrespective of their own particular religion or secular belief-system. He speaks universal truths .. with incredible clarity. P.S. – I am not a Buddhist .. merely a humble spiritualist & seeker of ‘inner peace’.

@perrofrio Wow you are really getting this whole Buddhism thing. As for your judgments of the Dalai Lama. He is human just like you are. All of us want happiness. None of us want to suffer. You must have compassion for the Dalai Lama just as you would any other human being, because none of us deserve judgments and suffering. I suggest you research more on the Dalai Lama and perhaps you will have a better understanding of him and then maybe you will have more compassion.

@WildernessTree I’ll never admit being an atheist, simply because I am not atheist. An atheist doesn’t “believe” in God, a religious person “believes” in God. I choose not to believe in anything. I accept what I can perceive through my senses, and what I can recover from my memory and past experiences. That is all I know to be truth. And the lord doesn’t have anything to forgive me for. I haven’t done anything to him, I don’t even know him

@WildernessTree Jesus is lord of what? A man doesn’t depend on Gods to achieve enlightenment. Enlightenment is achieved through effort, it is not granted by Gods or miracles. Wise men may show you the path, but you are the one who has to walk it.
