@ramaraksha01: Well …
@ramaraksha01: Well why are you thinking about this weird place you are imagining? I am talking to you about God & Heaven. This weird place your imagining doesn’t exist, but God & His Heaven are supreme existance. Heaven is not about God indulging us. It is about our witnessing His infinite glory forever. We are to wholly absorbed in Him as He gives Himself entirely to us. It is about the perfect act of love, which always seeks the good of the other w/o regards to self.

@mirandansa He just …
@mirandansa He just can’t get past the idea of staying in a 5 star hotel for the rest of eternity. That’s why christians fight so hard to stay alive, lol. Guess they don’t believe their own fables.

@VictorLepanto Just …
@VictorLepanto Just can’t wrap my head around a place run by a being who keeps u in comfort thru eternity. Sound weird & an easy solution for the weak-minded. Heaven & are right here on earth – we make them happen by our actions, not God. we die, we come right back – I’d rather have the Greatest Gift of All – The Gift of Life, than a pie-in-the-sky heaven.

@RonaldWieniawski …
@RonaldWieniawski you’re a narrow minded person with an low IQ of a ten yr old. First of all Buddhist is a way of life. It’s not like the church inquisition to slaughtered the natives and take people’s money. Right now the priest is under investigation of child molestation. Oh yea Tibet is on the highest mountain peak in the world, which is next to heaven. Church, it’s for brain washing people who believed a man made bible which been changed over times, make you question your own sanity.

« The Bible teaches …
« The Bible teaches that after death we pass through a trial as if by fire. »
… according to the writers. And why should we trust those writers?
One of the differences between Christianity and Buddhism is this extent to which they are dependent upon scriptures. The Christian principle that “Jesus is Christ” is totally contingent on the existence and veracity of both the OT and the NT. The Buddhist principle that “a permanent self is unlikely” is based on empirical observation.

@VictorLepanto
« We can not attain the infinite on our own. »
Nothing is truly ‘individual’. Everything is connected in some way. And that’s no religious assumption but a scientifically valid perspective. We are already part of the whole (the infinite continuity of the universe) by nature. It’s a matter of realising the boundlessness of our ontological space.
« We are creatures, seperated from God. »
That is a religious assumption that has to meet a burden of proof.

« We are not part …
« We are not part of the infinite »
Everything is part of the ultimate whole.
« I am me, if I come back as someone else then my existance is in a sense not real »
“me” is an abstract but practical illusion generated and used by the brain upon perceiving the virtual continuity of body & consciousness. ‘Your’ current body is a copy of the one which existed some weeks ago. ‘Your’ consciousness is the convergence point of electrical feedbacks in a brain. ‘You’ are not an entity.

« A chld is always …
« A chld is always happy when his loving father comes home. »
Not if the father is a genocidal maniac, which is how Yahweh is described in the bible. And what about the mother?
« If we will live in comformity to God’s will, we will dwell w/ Him forever. »
If your God has such subjugational preferences on top of being exclusively male (which are the reflections of the views of the ancient Middle East men who wrote the bible), then he hardly represents the unity of the cosmos.

@ramaraksha01: …
@ramaraksha01: Being allowed to go through life forever as a willfull child is the very Hell. Heaven is experiencing & knowing God. is seperation from God. A chld is always happy when his loving father comes home. He grieves when he must leave. That is the Christian idea of seperation from God. If we will live in comformity to God’s will, we will dwell w/ Him forever.

@ramaraksha01: This …
@ramaraksha01: This might be a subtle distinction you find hard to understand. We are not part of the infinite, we are finite, we are creatures. We are drawn to the infinite, we are allowed by He who is infinite to perceive His glory. We will never be infinite ourselves, merely partakers of infinite love. I am me, if I come back as someone else then my existance is in a sense not real, neither is that other person.

Muslims come here …
Muslims come here and make nasty remarks WHY?
-

& download article by Sujit Das – ‘Unmasking Muhd’
-
That website tells what actually is written in their Quran
WILL SURPRISE YOU, besides inside knowledge you will know why Muslims create trouble & blame their victims
QUOTES IN QURAN FROM MUSLIM HISTORIANS & MUHAMMAD Tell Muslims to kill non-Muslims
-
It says”Infidels are firewood of hell, kill them to keep fire burning”-This QUOTE IS ACTUALLY IN THE QURAN 72verse15

@VictorLepanto Your …
@VictorLepanto Your child misbehaves in public, You:
1. Ignore him, let him do whatever he wants (heaven)
2. Beat the out of him (Hell)
3. Teach him why his behavior was wrong(Karma & Rebirth)
It’s amazing that this ancient religion was so far ahead of its time! Later religions clinging to backward ideas while this older faith is teaching modern values!

@VictorLepanto if u …
@VictorLepanto if u can believe that why not keep an open mind on rebirth? A diff life will give u a diff perspective, only by being born as a dog will we learn to love unconditinally – if ur goal is to be ultimately part of the infinite, the only way u get there is via knowledge & we believe one liftime is not enough. Besides we get the Greatest Gift of All – the Gift of Life! Over & over again!

@ramaraksha01: God …
@ramaraksha01: God is infinite & eternal, He lives in a state utterly seperated from our own estate. We can not attain the infinite on our own. Buddhism’s idea of the ultimate cosmic goal is based on assuming we are ultimately part of the infinite & must learn to see it in ourselves. We are creatures, seperated from God. He takes to be w/ Himself.

@ramaraksha01: …
@ramaraksha01: Jesus taught us (go read the Bible, read the gospels) to “take up our cross” & follow Him. It is not an escapist fantasy. He didn’t come to pay the penalty for sin so we don’t have to. He came to provide us w/ the means whereby we can. The Bible teaches that after death we pass through a trial as if by fire. Our trials in this life mitigate the trial in the life to come. Go read the actual Bible.

@ramaraksha01: Hmmm …
@ramaraksha01: Hmmm. If the Pak. gov’t declared an open democratic election tomorrow, how many radicla islamist parties & politicians would be elected? Would such a gov’t be more or less threatening to India? The ULTIMATE issue is liberty. People need to be willing to live a free people in an open tolerant society. Where basic principles of human dignity are respected.

@ramaraksha01 In a …
@ramaraksha01 In a Teacher faith, God is there to instruct & encourage, that’s it. We have to do the hard work, we have to fight life’s battles on our own. If there is a heaven to be created that’s upto us, not God. I can see why this does not appeal to you.

@VictorLepanto But …
@VictorLepanto But it fits your religion – the prince in shining armor come to save the day. Why tackle problems on our own? let’s leave it to God, all we need to do is beg & grovel like dogs & he will create paradise with his magic. That’s how things need to be done – magic. Sweat & good honest work – sounds too difficult

@VictorLepanto The …
@VictorLepanto The aftraction of the strongman – he is going to make everything right. Robert Mugabe was once the hero of his country, today millions live in utter poverty & curse him daily. The misery & damage that he has done is immense. Take pakistan – once u get caught in the strongman cycle – it’s hard to get out. They live with daily bombings & increasing poverty. Democracy is the only way, don’t be foolish.

@ramaraksha01: If …
@ramaraksha01: If you want to talk about the God Abraham, why don’t you go read about the story of Abraham to see how He ACTUALLY behaved. You will be surprised. Jehovah does not flatter worldly power & glory. Go do a study on the books of Samuel & Kings & Chronicles in the Bible to understand the subject. Was Jesus born like Siddartha in a palace or in cave used to feed sheep? & I have much respect for Buddhist teachings.

@ramaraksha01: I should certainly hope they are ruled by strongmen. What we need in the Islamic world is a few strong men like Ata Turk. They can crush the jihadism out of the Moslems. As for Democracy, it can be & is taught. Like all social manners it is a way of living together. It must be taught.

@ramaraksha01: India might have been rich, INDIANS were not. India was land torn by the egotistical rivalries of her many princilings & her empire builders. I am not British & not an apologist for imperialism. I just look pragmatically at the objective practical reality of politics. Ordinary Indians were always dirt poor, as was most of humanity. Blame India independence economy on Neru & Marxist cronies.

@VictorLepanto U …
@VictorLepanto U can argue about democracy all u want – but answer me this. How does the god of Abraham behave? Like a despotic king or a democrat? he says u better believe in him or else! does that sound democratic? His heavens are segregated to followers only – is that democratic? Judgement day – or mass kill day? Just because i don’t believe in him? Again is that democratic?
